The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, participated in the Eid prayers in his hometown, Kabo Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano North Senatorial District along with a large crowd of residents. This year’s Eid-el-Fitr prayers were also held in Kabo.
Following the prayers, Senator Barau addressed the media and expressed his reasons for celebrating Eid in his hometown, emphasizing the importance of connecting with constituents, relatives, friends, and supporters.
He also reiterated the Federal Government’s dedication to addressing the nation’s challenges and called upon Nigerians to pray for peace, security, and prosperity.
Senator Barau highlighted the significance of celebrating Eid in Kabo as a way to rejoice and engage with the local community, emphasizing the importance of continued support and prayers for the President’s efforts in addressing national challenges.
He acknowledged the global nature of the current issues and stressed the need for unity and backing for the President.
During the sermon delivered by the Chief Imam of Kabo, Malam Jaafaru Mustapha, themes of tolerance, unity, and support for leaders were emphasized. The Imam commended the Deputy President of the Senate for his unwavering support and dedication to his people, highlighting his leadership qualities.
The Imam also emphasized the importance of gratitude, prayer, and obedience to leaders, in line with the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. A special prayer session was conducted for the Deputy President of the Senate at the conclusion of the Eid prayers.
