Senator Abba Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial District and serving as the Senate Minority Leader has concluded a comprehensive training program on agricultural value chain skills acquisition for his constituents on Friday in Abuja.
The training, designed to equip unemployed constituents with the skills and knowledge needed for agro-allied businesses, spanned several days and aimed at promoting self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Senator Moro emphasized the importance of agriculture as a viable alternative to white-collar jobs, which are becoming increasingly scarce. He described the agricultural sector as a “gold mine” capable of creating wealth and reducing unemployment.
The senator urged participants to apply the skills and knowledge they had gained to achieve self-sufficiency and create employment opportunities for others. He reaffirmed his commitment to empowerment initiatives, promising to sustain efforts aimed at improving the lives of his constituents.
Beneficiaries of the program expressed gratitude to Senator Moro for his leadership and dedication to addressing the challenges faced by the people of Benue South. They commended him for empowering them with practical skills and assured him of their continued support and prayers.
The training, which began on Monday, December 2nd, saw the participation of 200 beneficiaries drawn from across Benue South Senatorial District.
