The Senate has announced that it will on Thursday, October 16, 2025, conduct the screening of Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, SAN, the nominee of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the position of Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to a statement from the Office of the Secretary, Research and Information, the screening exercise will take place at the Senate Chamber, National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

Members of the Senate Press Corps have been requested to provide full media coverage of the session to ensure adequate public dissemination of information. Television stations are also encouraged to provide live coverage of the proceedings.
The Directorate expressed appreciation for the continued cooperation and professional coverage of National Assembly activities by the media.
