
The Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) Sea, Air, and Mountain (SEAM) Special Operations team has arrested a suspect following a car break-in at the Lion’s Head parking area earlier today.
According to TMNP, rangers on routine patrol spotted the break-in in progress. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was swiftly pursued. A K9 unit was deployed, and the dog successfully apprehended the suspect a short distance from the scene.

Law enforcement officers were immediately notified, and the suspect was handed over to the South African Police Service (SAPS) for further investigation.
In a statement, South African National Parks (SANParks) urged visitors to stay vigilant and avoid leaving valuables in vehicles. The agency also confirmed that enhanced patrols will continue in identified hotspot areas to safeguard park users.
