Renowned actress, model, and activist Queen Esther Daniels has been honored as the Best Idoma Nollywood Actress of All Time.
The celebrated thespian received the prestigious title over industry icons such as Ene Comfort Ikwumono and Jane Odoh at the Idoma Nollywood Film Festival. The event was part of the Idoma International Carnival held on Monday, December 23, 2024, in Otukpo, Benue State.
Queen Esther began her acting career at the age of 15 and has since graced the screen in numerous Nollywood and indigenous Idoma productions. In 2022, she added “producer” to her repertoire with the acclaimed blockbuster Akpa K’Oche (The Throne), which premiered at the Double K Resort in Otukpo.
Beyond her artistry, Queen Esther is a passionate advocate against social vices and a promoter of culture, peace, and unity. Her relentless dedication earned her widespread acclaim, culminating in her recognition as the Best Idoma Actress of All Time.
Hon. Prince Yemi Itodo, the Executive Producer of Akpa K’Oche, lauded the achievement on his Facebook page, calling it a well-deserved honor. He also commended the Idoma International Carnival organizers for celebrating Idoma talents and promoting tourism.
In his post, he wrote: “Tonight, history is made! Idoma people of Nigeria gathered in the ancient town of Otukpo to celebrate this thespian and screen goddess of unparalleled talent. Queen Esther Daniels has been crowned not just Actress of the Year or Decade, but Actress of All Time—a testament to her consistent excellence and dedication to the craft.”

He praised her journey, stating: *From her debut at age 15, Queen Esther has maintained an exceptional standard of performance, interpreting her roles with unmatched dexterity. She has also made her mark as one of the rare female producers in Idoma land with her blockbuster Akpa K’Oche.”
Hon. Itodo expressed gratitude to key figures behind the Idoma International Carnival, including Prince Edwin Ochai, Global President of the carnival and Idoma Association in America, and other organizers for their efforts in promoting Idoma culture and talent.
The award was dedicated to Almighty God, the Idoma nation, and the talented cast and crew of Akpa K’Oche. Hon. Itodo concluded with optimism:
