
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has summoned the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, for questioning over violent clashes during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations that left one vigilante dead and another injured.
A police letter signed by CP Olajide Ibitoye directs Sanusi to appear at the Force Intelligence Department in Abuja on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The letter states:
“In view of the above, you are hereby invited to the opposite Police Force Headquarters, Area 11, Abuja. Your presence is required for a thorough investigation.”
