NYSC to Commence Disbursement of N77,000 Monthly Allowance for Corps Members

 

 

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General YD Ahmed, has reaffirmed that the disbursement of the newly increased monthly allowance of Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira (N77,000) for Corps Members will commence soon.

 

Brigadier General Ahmed provided this assurance on Tuesday, January 7, during the commissioning of a 32-seater bus donated by Capital Express Insurance Company in Abuja.

 

According to the DG, arrangements to implement the payment of the new minimum wage have been finalized. He noted that this move underscores the ongoing efforts to improve the welfare of Corps Members across the nation.

 

A statement shared on the NYSC’s official Facebook page highlighted the DG’s remarks, which read:

“The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, has assured Corps Members that the payment of their new monthly allowance of Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira will commence soon. He made this statement today in Abuja while commissioning a 32-seater bus donated by Capital Express Insurance Company.”

The Director General also explained that the donated bus would address transportation challenges faced by Corps Members and NYSC staff in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). He expressed gratitude to the management of Capital Express Insurance for their generous contribution.

 

Brigadier General Ahmed emphasized that his administration prioritizes the welfare of Corps Members and remains committed to implementing policies that improve their experience during the service year.
