The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, extends warm greetings to Muslim journalists and the entire Muslim community in Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a goodwill message, the Council’s Chairman, Grace Ike, commended Muslim faithful for their dedication, discipline, and spiritual commitment throughout the holy month of Ramadan. She emphasized that fasting and reflection serve as reminders of the values of love, sacrifice, and unity—principles that should continue to shape societal interactions.
“As we celebrate the successful completion of Ramadan, we are reminded of the virtues of patience, generosity, and compassion. These values should inspire our professional conduct as journalists and our responsibilities as citizens of a great nation,” she stated.
She further urged Nigerians to embrace the spirit of Eid by promoting peace, understanding, and an unwavering commitment to truth and justice. She emphasized that journalists, as society’s conscience, must uphold integrity, foster national unity, and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s progress.
