The Chairman House of Representative Committee on Friendly Parliamentary, Hon Jeremiah Umaru on Wednesday received the Republic of Bulgaria Parliamentary Friendship Group on a tour of partnership for benefit.
The visit was tagged: Nigeria, Bulgarian parliamentary friendly committee.
Hon Jeremiah Umaru said they are happy to receive the Bulgaria ambassador to Nigeria, along with the Bulgaria Parliamentary Friendship Group.
The Chairman House of Representative Committee on Friendly Parliamentary reiterated that the essence of the visit is to establish partnership between Nigeria and Bulgaria, added that this visit will promote treaty and tribulation that will be beneficial to both nations.
Speaking to journalists on visitation, the chairman said the counterpart took a tour around the national assembly complex, observed the plenary session, visited the permanent chamber, and observed the construction of the chamber, and also visited the national assembly new library.
He added both parliaments shared ideas in the areas of common interests, and of course capitalizing on the advantages. “The visit is a welcome visit and we look forward to visiting the Republic of Bulgaria.
“The ambassador who accompanies them saw a lot of what the Nigeria parliament is doing and everyone is pleased with the development.”
The Deputy Chairman House of Representative Committee on Friendly Parliamentary is Nwogu Mathew said the relationship between the two countries has been a long standing relationship in areas of technical and expertise with very important collaboration in so many ways.
“I hope that this friendship group will enhance the relationship.”
I’m his response, the Deputy Chairman Committee on Economic Policy and innovations Bulgaria, Hon. Vladislav Panev said that this is a very intense visit, adding that the relationship between Nigeria and Bulgaria is over sixty years.
He further emphasized that both countries have been collaborating in the areas of energy sectors, and other businesses.
Hon. Vladislav Panev reiterated that Bulgaria has been investing in Africa, adding that the relationship between Nigeria and Bulgariais a beneficial relationship.
“We intend to collaborate in the area of business, education to build the career of Nigeria students.
“To maintain the beneficial relationship between both countries in infrastructure, the energy sector, renewable energy, constructing roads and railways and so many more.”
