The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has introduced a comprehensive employment scheme aimed at recruiting a total of ninety-three thousand seven hundred thirty-one (93,731) unskilled and unemployed individuals nationwide.
This announcement was made through an official press release issued by the management on Tuesday.
According to the statement, in alignment with the ethos of the Renewed Hope Agenda, the NDE has finalized arrangements to enlist 93,731 unskilled and unemployed individuals throughout Nigeria.
“As part of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative, the Directorate will deliver vocational, agricultural, and entrepreneurial skills training, along with temporary job opportunities in the public works sector encompassing more than 30 diverse skill categories.
“This employment drive by the NDE is a tangible manifestation of six of the eight key focus areas of the Renewed Hope Agenda. Additionally, eligible participants will receive start-up capital, equipment, and tools upon completion of the training, while others will be connected to financial institutions for potential access to loans to kickstart medium or large-scale enterprises.
“The program, which commenced on October 14, 2024, is scheduled to run until December 31, 2024. Prospective candidates can visit www.nde.gov.ng to establish an account and complete the online registration process using a valid email address, Passport Photograph, and National Identity Number (NIN). Alternatively, they may reach out to the NDE office in their state of residence for guidance.
“Successful applicants will be notified by their respective NDE state office for assignment to training facilities.”
