The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has responded to recent media publications making unverified allegations about its operations, stressing its unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and service delivery.
In a statement, the Commission emphasized that as a statutory body established by law, it remains guided by integrity and responsibility in fulfilling its mandate to Nigerian pilgrims and the nation at large.
NAHCON reiterated its close collaboration with all relevant government agencies, including anti-corruption and regulatory bodies, noting that it upholds due process and would not shield any staff or process found culpable of wrongdoing.

The Commission, however, urged the public and media to exercise restraint and avoid speculative reports that could subject individuals to unfair “media trials.” It assured that the truth regarding any matter will emerge through the appropriate legal and regulatory channels.
Meanwhile, NAHCON reaffirmed its focus on post-Hajj evaluations, resolving operational challenges, and implementing stronger measures to deliver improved services in future Hajj operations.
