MURIC Abuja Hails Dawud Amuta’s Appointment, Urges Transparent Muslim Pilgrimage Administration in Imo
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), Abuja Chapter, has congratulated Mazi Dawud Amuta on his appointment as Chairman of the Imo State Muslim Pilgrims Board, describing the decision as a strategic step toward strengthening pilgrimage administration and Muslim welfare in the state.
In a statement jointly signed by Ustaz Yunus Salahudeen, Chairman of MURIC Abuja Chapter, and Lukman Laleye Babalola, the group’s Public Relations Officer, MURIC said the appointment reflects Amuta’s integrity, competence, and years of service to Islam and the Muslim community, particularly in Imo State.
MURIC noted that Amuta, a committed member of Muslim Professionals in Da’awah (MPD), has consistently demonstrated dedication to the welfare of the Muslim Ummah, adding that his leadership is expected to improve both the spiritual and logistical coordination of pilgrimage affairs in the state.
The group commended the Imo State Government for what it described as a thoughtful and inclusive choice, expressing confidence that the new chairman would discharge his responsibilities with fairness, transparency, and accountability, in line with Islamic principles and public service ethics.
