The Lions International Club District 404B4, known as Lagos Renewed Yinka Bolarinwa Lions Club, Saturday, held its investiture ceremony to welcome its new president for the next lion year 2025/2026.
The investiture ceremony also witnessed the induction of 25 persons as members of the club
The Investiture ceremony represents the official installation of a new club president and board of directors for the service year.
It is often combined with fundraising, induction of new members and celebration of past achievements, while highlighting its community service and leadership transition.
In his acceptance speech, Lion Olusola Adeyemo, who will serve as president for the 2025/2026 Lion year, said that the club’s success over the years, is tied to the commitment of its members.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such talented individuals; I firmly believe that our Lagos Renewed Yinka Bolarinwa Lions Club has the power to effect real change in our world.
“And I am excited to work with each and every one of you to turn that vision into reality; We have the opportunity to touch the lives of many and I am committed to ensuring that we use our resources and platform to create lasting impact.
“But I cannot do this alone. I ask each of you to bring your unique 3Ts, your Time, Talent, and Treasure, along with your perspectives and experiences to the table.
“Together, we can create a world that is more just, more equitable, and more compassionate,” he said.
Earlier, the Immediate Past President (IPP) of the club, Lion Ademola Adewuyi, expressed appreciation to members for their support, trust, and dedication.
“Together, we accomplish the completion of our club house project, which was my number one set target during my tenure, and also every other memorable service activities during the last Lion service year,” he said.

Also, speaking, Chairperson of the investiture committee, Lion Elizabeth Oyekunle, noted that the club had navigated through challenges, and emerged stronger by the grace of God.
She urged all to reflect on the journey so far, and acknowledge the sacrifices of members who stood firm, in spite of the odds.
