Day2 Protest: military will not stand idly by and witness the nation descend into chaos – Chief of Defence staff Wolf Protesters

The Chief of Defence staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, has issued a caution to those scheming to incite trouble, asserting that the military will not passively observe the country spiral into anarchy.

General Musa emphasizied that the military is vigilant and ready to intervene if the situation escalates beyond control.

“We caution those contemplating exploiting protests as a cover to instigate violence to reconsider their intentions.”

The CDS delivered this warning in Abuja on Friday while briefing journalists on the ongoing nationwide protest against hunger and poor governance.

General Musa commended the security forces, particularly the police, for their adept handling of the protests, urging Nigerians to demonstrate patience with the Federal Government.

He further mentioned that the government is diligently working to alleviate the economic challenges in the country, encouraging citizens to demand greater accountability from local and state authorities.

He implored Nigerians to conduct themselves with civility and tranquility while exercising their rights.
