Kalu Targets 150 Million Supporters as Renewed Hope Partners Intensify Nationwide Mobilisation
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has directed the Renewed Hope Partners (RHP) to mobilise no fewer than 150 million supporters across Nigeria in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of 2027.
Kalu gave the charge on Thursday in Abuja while hosting a delegation of the support group from Edo, Ekiti and Katsina states, in a meeting held on the sidelines of the All Progressives Congress National Convention.
The visit was aimed at reaffirming the readiness of the Renewed Hope Partners to advance and promote the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration nationwide.
Kalu, who founded the initiative, reiterated that the group’s objective is to promote government achievements, strengthen democratic participation, and secure Nigeria’s future through grassroots engagement.
He tasked members to take the Renewed Hope Agenda to markets, campuses, worship centres, motor parks, and communities across the country, ensuring it resonates with citizens at all levels.
“This initiative speaks to the future of Nigeria. Whatever we do today is to make us a better nation in the years to come,” Kalu said, emphasizing the need for the group’s presence in universities, local government areas, and public gathering spaces nationwide.
He added that the group’s strategy includes simplifying government policies for public understanding, mobilising voters during elections, and driving advocacy and voter registration efforts.
“Our ambition is to raise 150 million supporters online. As ambitious as that sounds, registrations are ongoing and the numbers are looking very encouraging,” he stated.
Kalu further noted that the mandate of the group extends beyond the 2027 elections to legislative advocacy, including support for key reforms such as reserved seats for women, independent candidacy, local government autonomy, and the establishment of state police.
He described members of the group as “change agents, nation builders, and defenders of democracy,” adding that the platform remains open to partnerships with individuals and organisations aligned with its objectives.
Earlier, the National Coordinator of the group, Mathias Ehizua, said the delegation visited to brief the Deputy Speaker on its activities and progress within two months of its establishment, particularly in building an online membership database.
Ehizua noted that the Renewed Hope Partners distinguishes itself as a support group through its digital registration system, which he said has enhanced coordination and outreach.

In separate remarks, Ekiti State Secretary, Kayode Eso; Katsina Zonal Coordinator, Bishir Yahaya; and Edo State Women Leader, Judith Ife, pledged their commitment to expanding membership across polling units, wards, and local government areas.
Also speaking, Edo State Coordinator, Armstrong Adedigba, disclosed that 11,800 members had already been registered in the state within two months, adding that civil society groups and religious organisations were set to formally align with the initiative.
