Blackmail Political: Tinubu Accepts Resignation of Geoffrey Nnaji

Abuja, Nigeria — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accepted the resignation of Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, following allegations recently levelled against him.

Nnaji, who was appointed in August 2023, tendered his resignation in a letter to the President on Tuesday, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation.

In his letter, the former minister stated that he had been a “target of blackmail by political opponents,” adding that his decision to step down was in the best interest of the administration and the country.

President Tinubu, in accepting the resignation, thanked Nnaji for his service and wished him success in his future endeavours.
