The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has declared that Nigeria’s ruling party is firmly united and on course for victory in the 2027 general elections, citing ongoing economic reforms and policy direction as key drivers of confidence within the party.
Speaking at the 8th National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, Adelabu described the party as the “biggest in Africa,” emphasizing its large membership base and internal cohesion as critical strengths ahead of the next electoral cycle.
The minister expressed strong confidence in the re-election prospects of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, attributing the optimism to what he described as the administration’s deliberate efforts to reposition Nigeria’s economy and lay a solid foundation for long-term growth.
According to Adelabu, the current administration has made significant strides within its first two and a half years, noting that the economic direction under Tinubu has restored momentum and renewed hope for sustainable development across sectors.
He stressed the importance of continuity and consistency in governance, arguing that ongoing reforms require time to fully materialize and deliver tangible benefits to Nigerians. “What we need is sustained leadership to consolidate the gains already recorded,” he said.

Adelabu maintained that the president has not disappointed Nigerians, insisting that the groundwork laid so far is only the beginning of broader transformation plans aimed at repositioning the country economically and structurally.
Looking ahead, the minister projected that Nigeria would witness unprecedented progress by the end of Tinubu’s second term, asserting that the nation would be significantly transformed if current policies are allowed to run their full course.
He added by urging party members and supporters to remain committed to the administration’s vision, describing the ongoing reforms as “foundational” to achieving lasting national development and economic stability.
