Fadeyi-Funded ₦350m Ajagunnla FM Begins Test Broadcast to Boost Grassroots Engagement in Osun

A new privately funded radio station, Ajagunnla FM 101.1, has commenced test transmission in Ila-Orangun, Osun State, following an investment of over ₦350 million in modern broadcasting equipment and facilities.
The station, an initiative of Olubiyi Abdulazeez Fadeyi, is designed as a commercial broadcasting platform aimed at enhancing access to information, entertainment, and community engagement across Osun State and beyond.
Located in Ila-Orangun, the station has already begun test broadcasts, airing daily between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, while final technical installations and system checks are ongoing. The arrival of premium broadcasting equipment signals readiness for full-scale operations in the coming weeks.
According to a statement issued by Bashorun Adekanola Desmond, the project is entirely privately financed and not a constituency initiative, as previously speculated. He described the station as the realization of a long-standing vision to provide timely, credible, and people-oriented information to residents of Osun Central Senatorial District.
Desmond noted that Ajagunnla FM is expected to drive socio-economic growth in the region by creating employment opportunities, supporting small and medium-scale enterprises, and promoting the cultural heritage of the Igbomina people.

With its full commercial orientation, Ajagunnla FM is set to offer a wide range of programmes tailored to diverse audience interests, positioning itself as a key player in community broadcasting and a significant addition to the media landscape in Osun State.
