The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has conveyed his condolences on the demise of Hajiya Dada, the mother of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, who peacefully passed away at the age of 102.
Hajiya Dada was also the mother of the late Shehu Musa Yar’adua and Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army.
Senator Barau, in a statement released by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, beseeched Almighty Allah to pardon her imperfections and grant her a place in Jannatul Firdausi.
He also urged Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua and all her survivors to find comfort in the knowledge that she led a virtuous life devoted to the service of Allah and humanity.
“Hajiya Dada was a pious Muslim who devoted her life to the service of Allah and humanity. May Allah SWT bestow upon Hajiya Jannatul Firdausi.
“Our condolences and prayers are with the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army and Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua and all other individuals she left behind. May Allah grant them the fortitude to endure this irreplaceable loss,” he expressed.
