Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has commended the growing support of young people popularly known as Gen-Z, for his administration and re-election bid ahead of the November 8 governorship election.
Speaking through the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, during the unveiling of a digital office and mobilization platform in Awka, Soludo praised the commitment and innovation of the youth-led initiative.
The platform, developed by the Geeks and Founders Alliance for Soludo (GEFAS), a network of tech-savvy young professionals, aims to galvanize grassroots support for Soludo’s second-term ambition through a modern, tech-driven approach.
The Governor described the innovation as a testament to the passion and belief of young people in his leadership.
“This is a clear demonstration of love for our government and commitment to its continuity. We appreciate that you’ve done this without asking for anything in return. But I urge you to protect this space from being hijacked by opposition or hackers,” he said.
Soludo expressed optimism about the election outcome:
“There’s no vacancy in the Government House. We want to win all 5,720 polling units and continue the good work we’ve started.”
He further hinted at integrating the digital platform into state governance structures, noting that it represents a powerful tool to deepen youth participation and improve public engagement.
Convener of GEFAS, Mr. Fred Agbata, said the initiative was born out of a shared vision for digital transformation and sustained innovation in Anambra State.
“This hub is not just a campaign tool—it’s a symbol of our confidence in Soludo’s tech-driven governance. His vision aligns with what we, as young innovators, believe is the future,” Agbata stated.

Also speaking, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Politics, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, lauded the project as a model for youth-led political engagement.
“This is more than a support group—it’s a movement. With another term, Governor Soludo will elevate digital innovation in governance to new heights,” he said.
