Tinubu Redeploys Adar, Appoints Shagari to Strengthen Transparency in Strategic Agencies

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the redeployment and appointment of key officials in two major federal agencies, in what the Presidency describes as a move to bolster transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery.
According to a statement signed on Wednesday by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations, Hon. Musa Sarkin Adar has been redeployed from his position as Chairman of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) to serve as Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).
In a corresponding development, President Tinubu appointed Mukhtar Shehu Shagari, CFR, as the new Chairman of NIWA, replacing Adar.

The statement noted that both the redeployment and appointment take immediate effect.
President Tinubu urged the newly assigned officials to demonstrate patriotism and deploy their experience to strengthen good governance standards within their respective agencies.
