In a renewed drive to turn climate commitments into concrete results, Africa’s biggest climate dialogue is set to hold in Abuja this October. The Africa Climate Forum (ACF) 2025 will bring together leaders, investors, and innovators from across the continent and beyond to accelerate Africa’s transition from climate policy to climate action, advancing efforts toward a greener and more sustainable global economy.
The Africa Climate Forum (ACF) 2025, scheduled for October 14–15 at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, will focus on actionable pathways to build a cleaner, fairer, and more resilient future for the continent.
Now in its third year, the Forum, organized by the Global Centre for Law, Business and Economy (GCLBE), has become a leading platform for transforming climate ideas into tangible results. This year’s theme, “Bolder, Greener and Better Steps: Closing Transition Gaps in Africa,” underscores the urgency of moving from dialogue to decisive action.
While Africa has made strides in renewable energy adoption and climate policy reforms, major challenges persist in funding, technology access, and institutional capacity. ACF 2025 will tackle these issues by connecting local climate priorities with global opportunities in finance, innovation, and trade.
Discussions will also spotlight how new international measures—such as the European Union and United Kingdom Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms (CBAMs)—could impact African exports, industries, and jobs.
The two-day event will feature keynote addresses, policy sessions, side events, and investment networking, including a Deal Room to link project owners with investors, and a Marketplace showcasing innovative clean technologies from Africa and beyond.
“Africa has moved past the stage of awareness,” said Dr. George Nwangwu, Director General of GCLBE. “The real work now is financing, coordination, and execution, and that is exactly what this Forum is designed to drive.”
Participants will include representatives from governments, financial institutions, academia, and the private sector. Organizers expect clear outcomes, stronger partnerships, and increased green financing through ACF’s Deal Room, as well as wider adoption of climate-friendly technologies featured at the Forum.
Since its inception in 2023, the Africa Climate Forum has evolved into one of the continent’s most influential gatherings for climate action. As the world tightens its climate commitments, ACF 2025 aims to position Africa as a key player in shaping a greener global economy—anchored on innovation, resilience, and inclusive growth.
