
The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, has congratulated Ademola Lookman, the Super Eagles forward who plays for Atalanta in Italy, for winning the CAF Men’s Player of the Year Award.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Senator Akpabio also extended his felicitations to Super Falcons’ goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, for emerging as the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year. Additionally, he hailed the Super Falcons for clinching the Women’s National Team of the Year Award.
The Senate President lauded Lookman’s outstanding talent and commitment to excellence, describing his recognition as a significant milestone.
“I wish to congratulate one of Nigeria’s finest footballers and an international superstar, Ademola Lookman, on his well-deserved recognition as the CAF Men’s Player of the Year. This prestigious award reflects his hard work, dedication, and extraordinary skills on the field,” Akpabio stated.
He further praised Chiamaka Nnadozie for her consistent brilliance in goalkeeping, as she secured the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award for the second consecutive time.
“Chiamaka Nnadozie’s outstanding achievement is a source of inspiration for young Nigerian girls who dream of excelling in sports. Her consistency and remarkable performances continue to set new standards in football,” he said.
Akpabio also commended the Super Falcons for their well-deserved recognition as the Women’s National Team of the Year, applauding their teamwork, resilience, and dedication.
“The Super Falcons have demonstrated unwavering commitment and excellence, making Nigeria proud once again on the global stage. This recognition speaks volumes about their hard work and unity as a team,” he remarked.
