The Senate has said the federal government will support the new system, the pack and pay, but if it’s laws and constitution are abiding, and appropriate laws are abided by the occupants.
The Chairman Committee on Federal Capital Territory FCT, Senator
Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai, representing Yobe South, Senatorial district, made this assertion onTuesday in Abuja, after chairing the committee.
He Added that the FCT committee provides legislative oversized functions in all activities of the ministry.
On building a master plan for FCT by this present administration, Senator Bomal said that he has no doubt that the Minister of FCT will deliver his mandate. “He is a well experienced administrator and former governor of the river state.”
“If the citizens are abiding by the law of FCT, the minister can’t revoke anybody’s property without adhering to the laws there will be a lot of litigation.
“What FCT minister is doing, is doing it to the best of his ability in adherence to the laws and according to the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.”
Speaking on the uncompleted roads and Infrastructures across the FCT, the chairman expressed that the major problems are the finance’s and coupled with what is happening in the country. “But this administration is making serious efforts to see how funds will be raised to complete the abundance projects.”
