Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin has lauded President Tinubu for ratifying the Northwest Development Commission Bill, hailing it as a beacon of hope for the region.
Expressing his elation, Senator Barau declared, “This day marks one of the pinnacles of my existence.”
The Deputy Senate President shared these sentiments on Tuesday during a gathering with the press in Abuja.
Senator Barau highlighted, “Today, the President signed the NorthWest Development Commission Bill into law, illuminating the path for the commission’s vital work.”
Emphasizing the significance of this commission in fostering the development of the Northwest region, he stated, “This commission is poised to aid in the advancement of the Northwest, a region crucial in sustaining the nation’s food production.”
“Regrettably, the zone has endured the detrimental impact of armed insurgents, kidnappers, and bandits, resulting in widespread destruction of vital infrastructure, education, and livelihoods,” he lamented.
Undoubtedly, the establishment of this commission signifies a pivotal step towards rejuvenating the region and improving the quality of life for its inhabitants. It reflects the President’s commitment to not only the people of the Northwest but the entire nation.
“In supporting this initiative, I urge fellow Nigerians to exercise patience and extend their unwavering support to Mr. President. His proactive measures demonstrate a genuine concern for the nation’s progress and welfare,” Senator Barau urged.
“This auspicious occasion is a testament to his leadership qualities and unwavering dedication to nation-building. Let us continue to uphold him in our prayers and stand united in our support,” he concluded with conviction.
