In anticipation of tomorrow’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration, the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, CON, has extended his warm wishes to the Muslim populace of the nation, encouraging them to exemplify the true essence of the occasion by extending a helping hand to the less fortunate.
Senator Barau, as conveyed through a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, urged Muslims to implore the grace of Allah for the peace, unity, security, and economic prosperity of the country.
Senator Barau, who also holds the esteemed position of the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, affirmed the commitment of the current administration to effect positive transformations in the country for the collective welfare of all citizens.
He implored Nigerians, regardless of their differences, to offer prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he diligently endeavors to steer the country towards a positive trajectory.
“I extend my heartfelt wishes to Muslims and indeed all Nigerians on this auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
This season serves as a poignant reminder for us to place our trust in the compassion and wisdom of Allah and to dutifully adhere to His guidance, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim. Authentic followers of Islam must uphold principles of peace, tolerance, justice, and philanthropy.
“Moreover, in the spirit of this occasion, let us, irrespective of our religious affiliations, recommit ourselves to the vision and goals of fostering a robust, unified, and economically prosperous nation,”he expressed.
He reiterated the unwavering dedication of the National Assembly in formulating requisite legislation to tackle the prevailing challenges of the country in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“In the legislative chambers, we will persist in crafting legislation to confront the hurdles confronting our nation. We are collaborating with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to enact several laws aimed at ensuring good governance in this country. The collective support of all is indispensable in this endeavor. Let us work together towards this common goal,”he concluded.
