The Nigeria Police Force has established a 24-hour emergency reporting channel to respond swiftly to security threats in and around schools across the country, as part of efforts to strengthen school safety.
The Schools Protection Squad (SPS), operating from the Force Headquarters in Abuja, announced that the dedicated line—08077357777—is now active кругл-the-clock for reporting school-related emergencies.
According to the police, the hotline is designed to receive distress calls and intelligence on a wide range of threats, including attacks on schools and hostels, bullying, molestation, harassment, kidnapping, and suspicious movements around school environments.
The initiative targets early detection and rapid response to potential dangers, with authorities urging parents, students, teachers, school administrators, and community members to remain vigilant and report any unusual activities promptly.
“The service is available 24 hours daily to receive SOS reports via calls or WhatsApp,” the statement noted, adding that the Schools Protection Squad can also be accessed through the Police VGS application.
The police emphasized that safeguarding schools requires collective responsibility, stressing that timely reporting could prevent incidents and save lives.

Citizens are therefore encouraged to take advantage of the platform and act swiftly whenever they observe potential threats.
“If you see something, say something,” the police advised, reiterating that all school-related emergencies should be reported immediately via the designated hotline.
