President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the posting of three ambassadors-designate from the list of 68 nominees earlier confirmed by the Senate in December, marking the first set of diplomatic deployments under his administration.
The approved postings include Ambassador Ayodele Oke as Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to France, Colonel Lateef Are as ambassador-designate to the United States of America, and Ambassador Amin Dalhatu, former envoy to South Korea, as high commissioner-designate to the United Kingdom—three of Nigeria’s most strategic diplomatic missions.

According to a press statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy,
However, the President directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to formally notify the governments of the three countries of the appointments in line with established diplomatic procedures, paving the way for the envoys to assume their duties once agreements is granted.
