In a strategic blend of politics and technology, Katsina State is preparing to unveil a Digital Innovation Centre designed to galvanise youth participation and amplify Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s policy agenda ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has announced plans to launch the Tinubu/Dikko Digital Innovation Centre, a facility located at Barhim Estate, Katsina, aimed at leveraging digital innovation for youth empowerment and political mobilisation.
The initiative comes at a time when digital platforms are increasingly reshaping political engagement, public discourse and electoral outcomes across Nigeria. The centre is expected to play a pivotal role in projecting the Tinubu/Dikko movement during the forthcoming presidential and governorship election cycle.
Speaking in Abuja on Thursday, the National Coordinator of the Talent Hunt initiative, Arc. Faisal Jafar Rafindadi, described the centre as a strategic platform to advance Governor Radda’s vision by actively engaging young people through technology-driven programmes.
According to Rafindadi, the centre will focus on identifying, training and nurturing digital talents among Katsina youths, while also mobilising them for campaign-related activities and online civic engagement.
“The Tinubu/Dikko Digital Innovation Centre will function as a hub for digital mobilisation, innovation and youth participation. It is designed to equip young people with relevant digital skills while promoting Governor Dikko Radda’s developmental agenda,” he said.
A concept note obtained by this reporter indicates that the centre’s key focus areas will include digital campaign strategy, social media mobilisation, digital skills training and influencer engagement. It will also host a competitive talent hunt programme to discover and showcase outstanding digital talents across Katsina State.
Beyond its immediate political objectives, stakeholders say the initiative has the potential to leave a lasting imprint on Katsina’s digital ecosystem by empowering youths with skills aligned with the demands of the modern digital economy.

Governor Radda is expected to formally inaugurate the centre in the coming weeks, an event organisers describe as a potential game-changer in Katsina’s digital and political landscape.
Rafindadi noted that the unveiling of the Tinubu/Dikko Digital Innovation Centre represents a significant milestone in the governor’s re-election strategy, with expectations that it will boost youth participation and strengthen overall electoral mobilisation ahead of 2027.
