Utsev Marks Birthday with Prayers, Reaffirms Commitment to Water Security, National Development

The Honourable Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, FNSE, has expressed profound gratitude to God as he marks his birthday, offering prayers for renewed wisdom, strength and good health to continue serving Nigeria with greater dedication.

In a message released on Tuesday, Prof. Utsev prayed for God’s continued guidance to enable him to effectively support the impactful policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as well as the visionary leadership of his political mentor, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Dr. George Akume, CON.

According to the press statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Mrs. Funmi Imuetinyan, the Minister reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the successful implementation of key national initiatives targeted at improving the well-being of Nigerians, particularly in the critical areas of water resources development, food security and sustainable hydropower.

He noted that the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation remains focused on scaling up access to clean, safe and sustainable water across the country, increasing food production through irrigated agriculture and boosting hydropower generation to support national growth and industrialisation.

Prof. Utsev also expressed heartfelt appreciation to Nigerians for their support and goodwill, pledging to remain steadfast in delivering on the Ministry’s mandate for a more prosperous, resilient and sustainable Nigeria.
