Abuja – Senator Onyekachi Peter Nwebonyi (Ebonyi North), Senate Majority Whip, has praised the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for delivering policies that he says are transforming Nigeria’s economy. Speaking at the party’s 8th National Convention in Abuja, he described the APC as a platform with a clear manifesto addressing the nation’s critical challenges.
Highlighting the administration’s economic reforms, Senator Nwebonyi pointed to the removal of subsidies as a bold move to strengthen government finances. “For democracy to deliver real benefits, government must have the resources to act. Today, our economy is stronger, richer, and better positioned to support the people,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to rally behind the APC, noting that the party offers solutions to national problems. “While not everyone can be part of every decision, APC’s policies are designed to meet the country’s needs and deliver progress for all citizens,” Nwebonyi stated.
The senator also stressed the importance of continuity in governance, noting that some major projects, like the coastal road, require more than a single term to complete. “The reward for good work in politics is more work. Many projects will take seven or eight years to finish, and the President deserves the time to implement policies that reshape Nigeria,” he said.
Senator Nwebonyi emphasized that the convention was a platform for unity and shared commitment to the administration’s agenda. He highlighted the need for party members to actively support the government’s long-term development programs.
He assured that APC would continue to focus on policies that strengthen the economy, improve infrastructure, and expand opportunities for citizens. “We must continue to vote and support initiatives that bring tangible improvements to the lives of Nigerians,” he added.

He furthee remarks, the Senate Majority Whip reiterated his confidence in the President’s leadership and the party’s direction, calling on all stakeholders to unite behind the APC.
The 8th National Convention saw key party leaders, lawmakers, and delegates gather in Abuja to reaffirm their commitment to Nigeria’s development and the continuation of the current administration’s policy agenda.
